Winter-Cantuccini

Crispy winter cantuccini with chocolate, spices, nuts and Lemke marzipan. Baked twice, intensely flavorful and perfect with coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • Butter 100 g
  • Dark chocolate 100g
  • Sugar 150 g
  • Eggs 2
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Flour 300 g
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Gingerbread spice 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Lemke Marzipan Simply Pure 100 g
  • Lemke Mampfmandeln 50 g

  • Pistachios 50 g
  • Hazelnuts 50 g
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Steps

  1. Melt the butter, dissolve the dark chocolate in it, and let the mixture cool briefly.

  2. Mix sugar, eggs and vanilla sugar in a bowl until creamy.

  3. Stir in the butter-chocolate mixture.

  4. Add flour, baking powder, gingerbread spice and cinnamon and mix to form a dough.

  5. Incorporate marzipan, ground almonds, pistachios and hazelnuts into the dough.

  6. Shape the dough into three equal strands.

  7. Place the strands on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, flatten them slightly and brush with milk.

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 25 minutes.

  9. Remove the strands from the oven and let them cool for about 15 minutes.

  10. Slice and bake for another 5 minutes until crispy.

  11. Let it cool and enjoy.
