Once upon a time...

...there was Wilhelm II, King of Prussia and German Emperor. Wow, flawless. And Berlin is a capital like London, Paris or Rome. The population has long since exceeded a million. Berlin called and everyone, everyone came. The two pharmacists Benno Markus and Georg Lemke were already there. After the turbulence of the war, raw materials were sometimes unavailable and Lemke produced tea instead of marzipan. "Silvi" tea made from roughened pine needles. When airplanes later began feeding Berlin by air, marzipan machines produced "Eira" spread made from rapeseed, salt and spices. Lemke also supplied protein foods.

The Wild 70s

The company has now developed into the largest European specialist company on the European continent. It is time to leave the traditional production facilities on Urbanstrasse and take the step into the modern age. The company moves into its new headquarters in Berlin-Britz. With them: each and every one of the qualified employees, valuable recipes and the conviction that nothing can replace quality.

From now on, our delicacies are no longer hidden invisibly in chocolates, baked goods and ice cream, but can be found under the Lemke flag on supermarket shelves.
