Here's how:
- Crumble the yeast and dissolve it in lukewarm milk while stirring.
- Mix flour, butter, salt, sugar, eggs and yeast milk in a bowl to form a smooth dough.
- Then form the dough into a ball, cover it and let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, mix the marzipan with the eggs and cinnamon to form a smooth cream.
- After the resting period, knead the dough on a floured work surface and roll it out onto a greased baking tray.
- Spread the marzipan mixture on the dough.
- Place the halved and pitted plums close together on the dough with the inside facing up.
- Sprinkle with almond flakes and put in the oven.
Preparation of topping
- Lightly toast the almond slices in a pan over medium heat, add sugar and vanilla sugar.
- When the sugar melts, remove the pan from the heat and pour in the cream while stirring.
- Bring everything to the boil again over low heat.
