The 1 x 1 of Nougat
In contrast to chocolate, nougat is made with nuts (hazelnuts). The soft consistency of nougat also differs from the crunchy bite of chocolate, which is due to the higher proportion of cocoa mass.
One ingredient in the production of nougat is whole milk powder. Accordingly, nougat is not considered a vegan food.
Lemke nougat is gluten-free because no ingredients containing gluten are used in its production. However, Lemke nougat is not considered a lactose-free food because it contains whole milk powder.
Lemke nougat is made from roasted hazelnuts (or almonds in the case of almond nougat) together with sugar, cocoa butter and whole milk powder.
