Strawberry Marzipan Jam
A Taste of Summer
Fruity strawberry flavor meets delicate marzipan
Ingredients
-
1000 g strawberries (washed and hulled)
-
200 g marzipan paste
-
500 g jam sugar 2:1
Method:
Place the marzipan in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, wash and hull the strawberries.
Place the strawberries in a saucepan and add the jam sugar.
Grate the marzipan with a grater.
You can also tear it into small pieces, but this will take a little longer.
Add the marzipan to the strawberry-sugar mixture and mix everything well.
Place the mixture on the stove. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and continue cooking at a gentle boil for about 4 minutes.
Purée the jam once with a hand blender, then quickly fill it into clean jars and seal them tightly.
Turn the jars upside down briefly so that the lids are sterilized as well, then leave them to cool undisturbed.
The strawberry-marzipan jam has a beautiful pink color, and its delicate marzipan note makes it a real highlight on the breakfast table.
